Metadata
Note Data published by the Institut National de la Statistique et des Études Économiques (INSEE) are five-year averages. That is, the value of entries in 2013 is, in fact, the average of the calculated values, by sampling, for the years of 2011 to 2015. It is a methodology that aims to minimize sample errors and not build a series marked by apparent systematic variations due, in most cases, to those same errors.
From 2003 to 2009 the data refer to those born in Portugal without French nationality. In 2010 there is a break in the series and the data are now counted as individuals with Portuguese nationality.
On 16/02/2021 OEm changed the source of data from 2013 onwards from INSEE to Eurostat, which led to a revision of the values of the series from 2013 and onwards.
