The downward trend since 2019 was interrupted in 2021, when the number of Portuguese entering Spain rose again (70.1%), and in 2022 there was a slight decline (-0.1%). This figure seems to signal a trend towards stabilisation in the number of Portuguese entering Spanish territory. Over the time series under analysis, Portuguese emigration to Spain had a minimum value in 2000 (2,955 entries) and a maximum value in 2007 (27,178 entries).
