Portuguese inflow into Denmark increases in 2015
Inês Vidigal
There were 947 Portuguese who entered Denmark in 2015, according to data from Denmark Statistik. That Danish institution accounted for a total of 76,323 entries of foreigners in Denmark, with the Portuguese representing 1.2% of that total. +

Since 2004, the number of Portuguese entries in Denmark has recorded a steady, more pronounced and significant increase since 2010. Over the reporting period, there were two small declines: the first in 2008, when inflows fell by 3% And the second in 2010. As of 2011, there was a large increase in the number of entries, reaching for the first time, in 2015, numbers over 900 in the emigration of Portuguese to Denmark. Denmark will be replacing Norway as the main destination for emigration to Scandinavia. Today, Denmark is the twelfth country where most Portuguese emigrate.
