Note Some residents of Slovenia who are accounted as foreigners or born abroad, were born in former Yugoslavia (composed of the independent republics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia). These figures therefore reflect a change in geopolitical status rather than immigration. All figures refer to January 1 of the years presented.
The data from 2000 and 2005 were revised by the UN and amended by OEm on 05/06/2021.
