For the third consecutive year, the number of Portuguese arrivals in the Netherlands increased (+12.8% in 2018). With this growth, a new maximum of Portuguese entries into Dutch territory was reached in 2018 during this century. Throughout the time series under analysis (2000-2018), Portuguese emigration to the Netherlands had a minimum value in 2005, with 830 entries, and a very strong growth between that year and 2008. A slight decrease between 2013 and 2015 was replaced by continuous growth in the following years.
