For the ninth consecutive year, the number of Portuguese arriving in Sweden increased. This increase was of 9.5%, with the number of Portuguese emigrants entering Sweden in 2018 representing the highest value of this century, while the number of total foreigners entering that country fell for the second consecutive year (-8.2%). However, Portuguese emigration to Sweden continues to represent a very small fraction of both immigration into this country (0.3%) and total Portuguese emigration (less than 1%).
