Fewer Portuguese entries in Germany for the third consecutive year

In 2015, 8,810 Portuguese entered the Germany, according to data from the Statistisches Bundesamt Deutschland. The German institute accounted for a total of 1,751,360 foreign admissions in Germany, with the Portuguese accounting for 0.5% of that total. +

Between 2000 and 2006 there was a decrease in the number of Portuguese entries in Germany, and in 2006 the minimum value of the series under analysis (3,371 entries) was recorded. From 2007 to 2009 there was a slight increase, followed by a slight decrease in 2010. Between 2011 and 2013, there was an exponential increase, registering the maximum value of the series under analysis in 2013, with 11,401 entries. In the last three years, 2014 to 2016, there has been a steady decline in Portuguese emigration to Germany.
