In Denmark, the number of migrants born in Portugal increased from 1,455 in 2013 to 1,943 in 2015; yet, the number of immigrants with Portuguese nationality increased from 1,505 in 2013 to 2,115 in 2015, while the number of Portuguese in the country increased from 443 in 2013 to 637 in 2014.
In Norway, the growth over the past two years has been higher than in Denmark, having the number of migrants born in Portugal increased from 1.967, in 2013 to 2.810, in 2015, while the number of emigrants with Portuguese nationality rose from 3.432, in 2013, to 3.731, in 2015. By 2013, Norway was the Scandinavian country with the largest number of entries of Portuguese emigrants (815, compared with 443 in Denmark and 309 in Sweden).
Of the three countries under analysis, the smallest increase was recorded in Sweden. Emigrants born in Portugal were 3,307 in 2013 and 3,457 in 2014, while those with Portuguese nationality rose from 2,023 in 2013 to 2,193 in 2014. Yet, the entries of Portuguese in the country remained stable: 309 emigrants Portuguese in 2013 and 2014. The acquisition of Swedish nationality by Portuguese also remained stable, being 48 the number of Portuguese who changed their nationality in 2013 and 2014.
