It conducts a survey and evaluation of the main sources. It specifies the recommendations in the plans of the characterisation of migratory flows, on one hand, and of the emigrated populations (stocks), on the other. It highlights the need to include in the censuses questions that allow the identification and characterisation of both the resident population born abroad as the resident population of foreign nationality.
