Abstract
The relevance of the theme of migrations highlights the need to defamiliarise the most hegemonic discourses, which prevent us from listening to the Other as it is, and as it is enunciated in its own symbolic repertoires. In this listening, we can take the pulse of the capacity for innovation and/or expansion of consciousness that the narrative and creative process can mean.
This collection takes the Portuguese case as the object of observation of all those performative processes of the migratory experience which, in the singularity of our history, give us to observe migration, exile, return and coloniality – always dynamic movements of historical construction of oneself and of the Other; always battles of words and/or expressive forms, which move in the meanderings of old/new economic, social and political hierarchies, to arrive at temporary anchorages of the subject in the construction of new forms and/or new bodies of language.
