Responsible entity Research project “Regresso ao futuro: a nova emigração e a relação com a sociedade portuguesa” (REMIGR), carried out by a team that integrated researchers from the following institutions: SOCIUS/CSG, ISEG, Universidade de Lisboa; CEG, IGOT, Universidade de Lisboa; CES, Universidade de Coimbra; e CIES-IUL, Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL). The project (PTDC/ATP-DEM/5152/2012) was financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT)
Core Portuguese emigrants aged 18 and over residing in any foreign country, with Portuguese nationality or citizenship, that left Portugal after 2000 (6,086 valid answers)
Date of reference Survey applied through the Internet between May 2014 and May 2015 and applied on paper by the end of 2015
