OECD, Georges Lemaitre (2005): the comparability of international migration statistics
Critical assessment of progress made in the implementation of the United Nations recommendations on international migration statistics.+

Georges Lemaitre positively assesses the inclusion in the censuses of questions about foreign-born and foreign-born populations, but considers the progress in statistics on migration flows to be insufficient, with persisting problems on quantification and comparability. Some practical measures are proposed to improve the quality of flow statistics.
