Following the decrease recorded in 2024, Portuguese emigration to Canada declined again in 2025, with 16.8% fewer entries than in the previous year. This trend mirrors the reduction in the total number of foreign entries into Canada, although the latter was slightly more pronounced (-18.6%). The number of Portuguese entries is now approaching the levels observed in the period preceding the 2008 crisis. During the period under review, the lowest value was recorded in 2003 (329 entries), while the highest was in 2023 (1,005 entries).
