Following the slight decrease recorded in 2024, Portuguese emigration to the Netherlands increased modestly again in 2025 (+1.2%). These limited annual fluctuations point to a trend towards stabilisation of flows, at around 5,000 Portuguese entries per year into Dutch territory. Portuguese emigration to the Netherlands had a minimum value in 2005, with 830 entries, and a very strong growth between that year and 2008. A slight decrease between 2013 and 2015 was replaced by continuous growth in the following years, with the maximum value of the series to be recorded in 2023, with 4,892 entries.
