Book launch: ‘We came for a while, we stayed for a lifetime’ by Rita Cruz
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Federation of Portuguese Associations in Sweden (FAPS) is launching the book ‘We came for a while, we stayed for a lifetime’ on 6 and 7 December. Written by Rita Cruz and produced by FAPS, the book recounts the memories and challenges of Portuguese emigrants in the 1960s and 1970s, highlighting their courage, resilience and the role of associations in building a new life in Sweden.
