The Art of Being a Migrant
From April 3 to 6, 2025, the Jardins do Bombarda in Lisbon will host the festival "The Art of Being a Migrant", an event that brings together artists and researchers to reflect on Portuguese migration in Europe, half a century after Portugal's democratic transition.

The festival will feature creators and specialists from France, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Switzerland and aims to explore migration dynamics through visual arts, literature, comics, media, and social sciences. The program includes debates, screenings, exhibitions, and interactive activities such as a writing workshop, an embroidery installation, a collaborative exhibition on the materiality of migration, and the creation of a collective mural.

Additionally, there will be a storytelling session for children, a book fair, and a traditional dance event. "The Art of Being a Migrant" aims to be a space for dialogue and exchange, promoting the appreciation of migration experiences and fostering discussions on the challenges and contributions of migration to society.
