This in-person panel aims to foster an interdisciplinary debate on the intersections between migration and housing, exploring how inhabited spaces influence – and are influenced by – national and international migratory trajectories.
We invite proposals addressing topics such as:
- The intersection of internal and international migratory trajectories with residential trajectories;
- Where to live after forced or voluntary return;
- Circulation between houses and places;
- The role of housing in different modalities of return migration;
- Forced or voluntary co-living: challenges and opportunities;
- Building homes with one’s own hands, here and there;
- When the temporary becomes permanent;
- Migrant and resident associations;
- Forced migration and (post-)resettlement;
- Socio-spatial segregation, labor, and housing segmentation;
- The right to housing, place, and the city.
Proposal submissions are open until 13 January 2025. Further details about the event and registration can be found here.
