Portugal Day in Toronto
2011-06-17

The Portuguese community annually recognizes June 10th as Portugal's National Day, commemorating the anniversary of Portuguese poet Luis de Camoes's death. It is a time of celebration for the Portuguese community and this year much of the festivities took place atTrinity Bellwoods Park, right in the heart of Little Portugal.

Trinity Bellwoods Park came alive with Portuguese newcomers and citizens as they celebrated Portugal Day this past weekend with live music, rides, games, folklore dancing, and a parade.
