The number of Portuguese who entered Danish territory reached a new high for this century, for the third year in a row. From 2019 to 2020 there was an increase of 13.6%, from 2020 to 2021 the growth was 66.2% and from 2021 to 2022 was 12.6%. Despite this evolution, Portuguese emigration to Denmark continues to represent a very small fraction of both immigration to this country (1.5%) and total Portuguese emigration (around 1%).
