Small increase in the number of Portuguese entries in Andorra in 2019
Inês Vidigal
According to data from the Andorra Department of Statistics, 434 Portuguese entered Andorra in 2019. This agency accounted for a total of 3,777 foreigners entering the country, with the Portuguese accounting for 11.5% of immigration in that year. +

After a peak in 2005, Portuguese emigration to Andorra fell abruptly between that year and 2014 and has since remained stable at comparatively low levels. In 2008, Portuguese emigration to Andorra fell the most (-54%), reflecting the abrupt and profound nature of the real estate crisis in Spain. In the last four years, the number of Portuguese entries in Andorra has been increasing very slightly, exceeding the level of 400 per year in 2019. Nevertheless, it remains far from the values of the beginning of the century, seven times higher than todays.
